Yes, ROMs are compatible with hx2795b.

I cant seem to get it to load on my hx2490b after i connect to active sync and launch the software it gets to 1.0% and say error everytime.... any advice?

Yes I have installed 6.0 a short while back and it worked fine and was easy to do with this I keep getting error

There are no ROMs for iPAQ hx2490c. C series devices have different drivers. And I have never had any C series device to make ROM for it.

HP hx2790b win 6.5.3 GERMAN
After some little problems (due to my computers configuration) under win7 I upgraded under XP in a few minutes. Now it works perfect -

You have to use Pre-BL mode for ROM upgrade - white screen on iPAQ 2190b.

OK problem solved, I was in eboot mode and not in Pre-BL mode.

Hard to say as I know nothing about telegesis card.

If you upgrade to WM6 you will be able to downgrade back to WM5 by using 1.02.00.H.

But have you installed right drivers for your card?

I get an error 503 when I open upgrade_tool.exe from the hx2000 WEH653_10_10.

I am running window xp I installed activesync I put the ipaq in pre-bl mode its an hx2790b so its a white screen.
Then I connect the USB and pressed the calendar putton. It takes a while and then windows comes with a warning message:

! USB device is not recognized
One of the usb devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it.

When I click on that message the window with the USB root hub comes up and it shows it with bold as an "Unsupported device"

After that I run the upgrade_tool.exe and after a minute it returns "error 503: ActiveSync error"

Any ideas why is this heppening?

Try to press calendar button more that one time.

You can also try to change USB port on PC.

Does ActiveSync works well in Windows?

BT Phone Manager is not included - there is no space on ROM for it.

Thanks for fixing 6.1 cf problem.

I have just tried to upgrade to this new 6.1 rom from ENG 1.00.00.H and have a few problems,

In bl mode everything goes fine till the upgrade button is pressed, after which 'Digital sign mismatch' appears on the hx2190 and error 608 on the computer screen. Have I missed a step?

I read the instructions for USB DRIVER UPDATE GUIDE & ROM UPGRADE GUIDE
and tryed Conform the instructions.

I put my iPAQ 2490 in pre bl mode, but not apears the white screen
Apears WLAN MISMATCH and in Left down on the screen, apears USB
I touched the calendar button and run the UPGRADE_TOOL and a few seconds apears this message In PC : //Error 503: Active Sync Error
Coud not comunicate to the iPAQ with Activesync connection and try again.
You may need to push reset buton on the iPAQ//


I have instaled the HP USB Sync - Spiaatie but ocurried this error// the windows can't to be verify the driver digital signature neccessary for this device.
Maybe recent hardware or software modify....code 52 //
I tryed the change the USB Port and press the calendar button more times and do not work.

OS in my PC is Window 7

Renato please be sure that you really press correct buttons. If you have hx2490 and not the hx2490b - you will not see the white screeen.

If you can't install USB drivers, open USB DRIVER UPDATE GUIDE.pdf to see how to disable driver signature enforcement.

I downloaded your ROM and was able to flash. My hp ipaq hx 2110 does not load the OS.

It always stays at the blue boot screen even after soft or hard reset. what can be the cause???

Ok, so the WM5 update process went smoothly except for one thing: Restoring my backed up files. Your roms are missing the backup tool "iPAQ Backup" that came with WM 4.2. My question is do you know where I can get this file, or does WM 6.5 come with a back up program that reads .PBF files? Thanks a bunch
